| In England, the lack of available skiing venues makes for innovation. I had learned to ski on a “Dry” ski slope which is basically coconut matting laid on the ground on a small hill. I was definitely not a natural skier like Graham and had struggled mightily to master the snow plough and the turn across the slope to stop. But I was game for most things and so I found myself on rented skis at the bottom of the bunny slope in a village called Souze D’Oux in the Italian Dolomites. |
| And so begins a tale of woe that leaves the listener with sides aching from laughter at the antics of this novice skier when confronted with the might of the Italian Dolomite mountains and a less than sympathetic and vastly more talented partner. For a light hearted, good, honest, funny speech - this one cannot be beat!! |
