Heather and John, ably assisted by our
Border Collie mix, Georgia and our stray
cat, Buster.

Circle P Western is a family business dedicated to the western way of life.  We make
and sell Native American style crafts, predominately Dream Catchers and Mandellas.
We also own, breed, sell and show horses.  Our primary focus is on the American
Quarter Horse for the sport of Reining, although we do sometimes have other
breeds and disciplines for sale.
April is the Grande Dam of the herd.
She is our former Reining show horse
and is now 2
6 years young.  She is
double registered with the Buckskin
Registry and the AQHA,  and  is 9
2%
foundation Quarter Horse.
We Welcome you to our world and we suggest that you
take a look around and get to know us and our products
better.

April Blizzard
Summer is April's 7 year old daughter.  Her daddy is the
NRHA Reining Futurity's Reserve Champion, Miffilena.

As a brood mare, Summer has proven to be
the perfect mother to Samme
and is currently a resident
with Nathalie McEntire in
Selma, NC where she is to be bred
to Smarty Pep Whiskey in 2010

(
www.mcentirereining.com)

She may be small (14.1 hands at the last measure) but she
has inherited her mother's alpha mare attitude and has a
heart bigger than Texas!
Mirage, our Section A Welsh Pony has been our class clown,
constant companion and first class babysitter for the past 8
years
.

B
ecause he is only 11.2 hands it has always been hard to
find someone to give Mirage enough work and being such
an easy keeper, he has struggled with weight issues and,
consequently, with founder.

Starbuck (Registered name is Piningforstarznbucks)
is a
5 year old sorrel quarter horse gelding and was
trained by
Matt Palmer of Palmer Performance
Horses
and has been lightly shown by Matt's
Assistant Trainer, Jason Franks
.

This winter we leased Starbuck to Ricky Brown of
Smyrna, DE and with Ricky's excellent care and "old
time remedies" his injured leg is looking better than
it has since he first injured it in 2008.

We are alll hopeful that we will see Ricky and
Starbuck on the Green Reiner circuit this year.

Please join us in welcoming the latest addition to our herd - Samme
(Pronounced Sam-Me)

Samme is Summer's first baby and is now a yearling.

Samme's sire is Lil Ruf Rider who is standing at stud at Mike McEntire Reining Horses
of Selma, NC. 'Rider' is also being successfully shown by Mike McEntire.
Check him out at
www.mcentirereining.com

As Samme is continuing to mature he is starting to pick up his sire's muscular body and
we are hoping that he has also inherited his father's big stop and his mother's
incredible agility.

Because he means so much to us we made the hardest ever decision to let Mirage go
to our dear friends. Lisa and Craig Stonesifer of Smyrna, DE to be a Christmas gift for
their nephews.

He has settled in wonderfully well and the boys have already ridden him and he is
being his usual wonderful self, taking good care of the boys just as he has always
cared for our weanlings
and students over the years.

Although we miss Mirage big-time, it is comforting to know that he is now teaching
another family how
good he is at untying your shoe laces and "borrowing" any items
you may have handy.
As Samme's grandma, April is now retired and is living her
days out at Charly & Bill Badnarak's farm, eating, getting fat
and teaching all the 'youngsters' their place in 'her herd' .
